Centre Court
Novak Djokovic Colosseum
Built in 2025 and named for the greatest grass-court player the game has seen, the holder of 107 wins at Wimbledon. It is a small stadium by any standard — 350 seats — but the bowl rises so steeply on all four sides that the noise has nowhere to go. There is no roof: when the rain comes off the hills the covers come on and the crowd stays put.
Two hundred and fourteen seats around a single lawn. Two rows behind the north baseline, three on each of the other three sides, and nothing between the front row and the tramlines but a strip of turf. Players walk out through the crowd rather than a tunnel.
It takes the best of the day matches through the first week and closes the second with the mixed doubles final. Like the Colosseum, it is open to the sky.
One centre court, one show court and ten outside lawns, all laid with perennial ryegrass and cut to the same eight millimetres each morning. 1,824 seats in all. A new grounds map arrives before the draw.

The Oxeye Daisy
Every major in the PAR Universe plants something at its net posts. At The Championships it is the oxeye daisy — white petals, a yellow eye and a stubborn habit of growing back wherever the mower has been. Two are set at each post of every net on the grounds, and the meadow behind the outside lawns is left uncut through the fortnight so that they can spread.
The pair from the Colosseum goes home with the champion on the final Sunday, pot and all.
